On a picture perfect June 11th day 2006 the Town of North Hempstead Historical Society hosted a tour of the Rose Hill Cemetery.  A trio of bon vivant lecturers; Rev. Stuart Clarke, Rev. David Lowry and Dr. George Williams provided members with an inside view of the final resting place of noted early settlers, blue blooded aristocrats and founders of the American Revolution. The tour ended at the headstone and bronze plaque of Dr. James Cogswell who served as General George Washington's Doctor during the Revolutionary War.
